Earlier, he has provided consultancy for establishing a commodities exchange in Tanzania and India.
Girish has expertise in establishing and management of Commodities Exchange, Securities Exchange, Derivatives Exchange, and Clearing House (Central Counter Party) in India, Africa and other countries. Girish is an excellent overseer of the entire gamut of functions of the Derivatives and Commodities Exchanges comprising of Market Safety, Market Integrity, Market Operations, Clearing & Settlement, Secretarial, Investor Education, Members and Client Management. Girish has been a trainer on the Financial Market, Securities Markets, Commodities Markets, Derivatives, Risk Management, and Regulatory Compliances in India and abroad. He has attended and delivered lectures in various seminars, conferences and summits at national and international forums on Financial Markets including United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), South African Federation of Exchanges (SAFE) and Association of Futures Markets (AFM). Girish is chairman of Centre for Commodity Market Development. The Centre has conducted study tour for High-level Delegation from Tanzania and Ghana. Recently, the Centre is empanelled as Trainer for the Commodities Derivatives by the Securities and Exchange Board of India. Girish has impressive ability to interact among domain people, devising new business development objectives and strategies, cultivating new opportunities, developing a customer base with a significant repeat business, staying ahead of emerging trends, knowing potential breakthroughs in the markets. Playing a key role in the executive leadership of the Exchanges, his previous employment portfolio includes Senior Vice President, Multi Commodities Exchange (2003-2012); Vice President, National Multi-Commodities Exchange (2002-2003), Manager, National Stock Exchange (1995-2002), and Assistant Manager, Delhi Stock Exchange (1992-95).
